Lead Instructors, Lance Taysom RN, CFRN, EMT-P, WEMT and Cami Taysom RN, CEN, CPEN, WFR, together with our highly qualified and effective staff and advisors form the Caribou Adventures Instructor Team are wilderness medicine practitioners and educators. We love to travel and bring custom wilderness medicine courses and presentations to your location. We give presentations, classes and hands-on workshops at medical and EMS conferences across the country. We are happy to provide resume’s and references. We are reliable and low maintenance presenters. You can count on us to do and say what we are contracted to with correct and up to date information. We start and end on time and provide all the training materials. Participants in our courses receive up to date practical knowledge, learn and practice essential skills, and develop confidence and competence. Please contact us for more details about how we can help you.
Lance continues to work as a lead instructor for the Wilderness Medicine Institute and has since 1994 when WMI was a small start-up school with a big vision, based in Pitkin, Colorado. Now WMI is part of the global NOLS organization. If you or your organization needs an internationally recognized certification course, we can help you decide which course will fit your needs and perhaps help you sponsor a WMI course.
Caribou Adventures can help your organization establish a wilderness medicine program. We will look at your current systems, help you choose the right first aid kits, equipment, and supplies. We will help with the initial and ongoing training for your staff and we will help you obtain a medical director and develop patient care protocols.
